Hello and Welcome!

 

I am the founder of U+ME wooden toys which is a small independent, Brighton based company set up at the beginning of 2018. I proudly work on the toy designs and decorations with a well-established, independent manufacturer based in the Czech Republic where they are also handmade by using traditional wooden toy making technologies. 

 

U+ME Ethos 

The ethos of U+ME is to bring wooden toys and decorations to children and adults that are high quality, traditional, ethical, educational, handmade and from sustainable European woods, absolutely chemical-free. Natural toys that do not contribute to the pollution of plastic and other harmful materials.

We carefully chose certified colours that are safe for children and very importantly, chosen bright colour tones that appeal to both boys and girls. 

We support diversity too! No toy and no decoration will ever be the same as they are all handmade and details painted individually.

Our aim is to bring back what seems to be forgotten - natural and beautiful toys that last for generations because they are loved and cared for, not thrown away unlike too many of those other unlucky toys.

U+ME Joy & Drive

The joy that I help to create when children and adults play with the toys or hang mobiles to brighten up the room is a big part of why I do this. The lasting value of didactic toys, which are also sustainable in our polluted environment, is something I am very passionate about.
